About Rihanna

Multi-talented Rihanna was born in Barbados in 1988 and is known as a singer, songwriter, actress, fashion designer, and businesswoman after founding her successful makeup line, Fenty Beauty. Caribbean sounds influenced her first two albums before she recorded "Good Girl Gone Bad," which included more uptempo dance tracks, featuring her first massive hits, "Umbrella," "Shut Up And Drive," and "Don’t Stop The Music." Since then, she has toured extensively and released further albums, including "Rated R," "Loud," "Talk That Talk," "Unapologetic," and "Anti." She has collaborated with fashion labels such as Dior, Armani, and Puma before creating her fashion brand, Fenty, which includes the lingerie brand Savage x Fenty.

How did Rihanna get famous?

Rihanna was signed by Jay-Z and Def Jam Recordings in 2005 after performing her future hit single, "Pon de Replay." Although she achieved significant success with her first albums, it wasn’t until she released "Umbrella" that she became a worldwide icon. Since then, her Billboard chart-topping hits have included "Take A Bow," "Disturbia," "Rude Boy," "Only Girl (In The World)," "What’s My Name?," "S&M," "We Found Love," "Diamonds," and "Work." She has worked and collaborated with musicians including Drake, Calvin Harris, N.E.R.D., Kanye West, Paul McCartney, and David Guetta, and is also known for her interests in fashion and beauty.
